Capabilities across the fermentation workflow
- Strain and process development. Curia works with engineered hosts and native producers. The resource outlines cell banking, strain improvement, laboratory process development and scale-up as elements of the manufacturing pathway.
- Defined roles across the European network. The fact sheet identifies fermentation development, pilot and manufacturing capabilities at León and Rozzano. San Cristóbal contributes downstream process development, pilot work and manufacturing; Rozzano also provides downstream manufacturing.
- Biological and chemical processing in one network. Curia combines biocatalysis with chemical synthesis and downstream processing for large volumes. Applications described include antibiotics, immunosuppressants, antifungals, steroids and enzymes, alongside selected non-pharmaceutical products.
